OUR LEARNING and ACTIVITY INTEREST GROUPS

We have around 60 learning and activity interest groups for Preston Park u3a members, listed below. You can sort the list of groups alphabetically, by category, by meeting day or by venue by clicking on the appropriate blue button below. Groups may appear in more than one category.

Click on a group name to find out more about it. Click on a venue to see the full address of halls and cafes where we meet and other details.

The groups marked below as Active are open to new members. That's about half of our groups. It is a sign of our groups' success that some of our groups are full and have waiting lists. However, we try to start additional groups where there is enough demand and a member volunteers to lead a new group.

Please note you need to be a member of Preston Park u3a before you can join a group or go on a waiting list if the group is currently full. You also undertake any activities at your own risk. Tutors for taught activities involving physical exercise may also require you to complete a medical questionnaire before you join the group and their decision on your suitability for their classes is final.

Also note that some groups, such as those which pay a tutor, hire a hall or go on visits, charge a fee to cover their costs.

All groups are led by volunteer Group Leaders. Click on the Group Leader's name or the Group email address on the particular group's page to email them for more information or to ask about joining their group.
