This is a beginners Family History/Genealogy Group meeting at The Keep, which contains East Sussex Records Office.  The advantage of working at The Keep is there are plenty of computers with FREE access to sites such as Findmypast.com, Ancestry.co.uk, plus all the East Sussex records that are available at The Keep including Parish Registers etc. Also the Sussex Family History Group have a room at the Keep with volunteers available to answer questions. 

The Group Leader will not be doing the research for members, just advising them how to do it themselves!

There are 57 car parking spaces at The Keep. Parking currently costs £4 per day, but the Group Leader has arranged a charge of £2 for the afternoon. 

Any photocopy charges etc. to be paid individually.

Lockers are available and there is a drinks/snacks dispensing machine, tables and chairs in the Reception Area. 

If travelling by public transport, the Keep is a 10 minute walk from Falmer Station with buses 23, 25, 28 and 5B stopping at the Brighton Academy bus stop just outside The Keep car park.
