Preston Park u3a Open Day Saturday 27th September
As part of national u3a week, Preston Park u3a held an Open Day in Knoyle Hall on Saturday 27th September. We had a fantastic turnout of members, Group Leaders and potential members demonstrating and putting their name down for our 60 current interest and activity groups.
Particular thanks go to the valiant members who got up on stage to demonstrate Qi Gong, Tai Chi, Yoga and Pilates and to those who showed us how to play Bridge, Canasta, Scrabble and Mahjong. Also to the Singing Group who were recorded for the day. These members vividly illustrated some of the learning, achievement and fun we enjoy in our many interest and activity groups.
A record 37 people joined Preston Park u3a on the day, with more joining since. We welcome new members, who will ensure our u3a continues from strength to strength.
