We visit museums, cathedrals, castles, major historical sites and other heritage locations, sometimes in groups of up to 60 members, about a dozen times a year on a Friday. All visits are open to all Preston Park u3a members on a first come, first served basis.

After travelling together from Brighton by rail or coach, our visits usually start mid to late morning with a guided tour wherever possible. There is often the chance to lunch together in groups before returning to Brighton, generally before 6 pm.

Email John Colman to reserve a space on any visit or to be put on the Heritage Visits Group mailing list. Bookings are made on receipt of a payment, all of which are acknowledged. Reservation, Booking and Visit Conditions

Please read all of these terms carefully before paying.

1) To check a visit’s availability, please contact John Colman by phone, email or at the Preston Park u3a monthly meeting.

2) Reserving space gives you booking priority. Please pay at least 5 weeks in advance. You will be reminded by email.

3) A booking is only made on receipt of payment. Once booked, payments made are not normally refundable.

4) Cheques payable to “Preston Park u3a no. 2”. Send to John Colman. Visit name on reverse. 1 cheque per visit.

5) BACS payments to sort code “20-12-75”, a/c no. “60860212”, a/c name “Preston Pk U3A N2”.

 Please email John Colman to notify him when you make a BACS payment. For reference use visit name.

6) All reservations and bookings are made on a first come, first served basis. Tickets are not issued in advance.

7) Visits by coach are number limited; most other visits are not. If bus travel is used, please bring a bus pass or pay.

8) Reservations, bookings and payments will always be acknowledged. Final details will be emailed a week before a visit.

9) If you are likely to be away or out of contact in the 6 to 8 weeks before the visit, please pay before you go away.

10) Visits are for Preston Park u3a members only but, at the Group Leader’s discretion, others may be invited to attend to fill spaces.

11) If a visit is cancelled or materially changed, we hope to refund your payment but this cannot be guaranteed.

12) There are often late withdrawals so it is worth asking to be on “standby” for fully booked visits.

13) Photos of visits are often taken and circulated. If you do not wish to appear in photos, please tell the visit leader.

14) Please save John Colman’s mobile number on your mobile and leave it switched on during every visit.

14) You are responsible for checking whether the visit is suitable for yourself and your ability to participate.

15) You are NOT covered for any accident or injury incurred on a visit. Preston Park u3a only has public liability cover.
